Episode 18 Update - June 5, 2016

And I was doing SO WELL with these weekly updates!

May was a bit distracting, what with turning 40 and all. But I have been making progress on Episode 18. It's now around 75% done, with two games left to capture and put together. I'm not going to be overly optimistic and say it'll be done by the end of June, but it sure will be close!

This past month I've been preoccupied with kicking off my 2016 Extra Life campaign. I'm currently up over $300.00 raised, hoping to crack the $5k mark by the end of the year. Please if you would, consider donating

And, as always, if you enjoy the show and you'd like to support it, you can do so over on Patreon. Pledging $5 or more per episode gets you early access to each new show!

Episode 013 Update #3

Sorry for the silence lately. One of the segments I've been working on took a lot longer than expected. But it's now complete, leaving only three features to go in Episode 013! We're so close I can almost taste it!

I want to give a big shout out to Coury Carlson of My Life in Gaming, who was kind enough to send me some footage I desperately needed and was having absolutely no luck recording on my own.

A few other things:

- Patreon
Don't forget that you can support Generation 16 through Patreon. I've set up the account to trigger after each new episode is published. So any donations made will likely be collected every other month or so. Please, if you can spare anything it will definitely help. As the show continues I'd really like to grab some of the various peripherals and toys Sega created and feature them as well. The money will also go to general upkeep of this fancy new website and any hardware/software needed for the recording and editing process.

- Extra Life
For the past three years I've been participating in the Extra Life for Kids 24 hour gaming marathon in support of my local children's hospital. Last year I managed to raise over $2000 for this amazing cause, and I'd really like to beat that this year. Please please please give what you can to for this worthy cause. All money goes directly to the IWK Children's Hospital, and if you donate you will recieve a tax receipt.

Stay tuned to this spot for details on exactly what I'll be playing (and streaming) during the marathing this October 25!

- Live Show
I've been toying with the idea of a Sega-centric weekly live show, but I've had nothing but issues with both my bandwidth and the software needed to stream properly. Both of those problems appear to be sorted out. Hopefully I'll get something up and running soon. Remember, the 25th anniversary of the Genesis is just around the corner!
